what does it mean to live fierce

Fierce /firs/ : furiously active or determined

As biological beings, we all need to eat. As sentient beings, we have all emotional associations with the foods we love. Those associations allow us to give ourselves permission to continue making food choices that are less beneficial for sustained health, even when we know better.  Sometimes those associations are positive, and sometimes they are the result of trauma. Trauma comes in many forms. It can be sneaky, not always obvious and have a long-lasting effect on a variety of aspects of our health.

Fierce Wellness focuses on the physical trauma that has resulted from prolonged exposure to foods that cause inflammation and hinder optimal function of our natural systems. We work with you to identify the root cause of gut discomfort, digestion and absorption impairments, and hormone imbalances. We help you learn how your body systems respond to certain foods and ingredients so that you can start to make intentional meal choices for sustainable health.

Sustainable health is a process and looks different for each unique individual. It takes time, patients, and most importantly, an open mind. Mental blocks can stop progress dead in its tracks. We will work together to break through those blocks and begin to change the emotional associations we have with food. Change is often resisted because we are unsure of the outcome, but know for certain what we there may be to lose, such as our favorite sugary treats that we like reward ourselves with. Fierce Wellness is a partnership. As your partner, I will guide you to learn to reward yourself with power, confidence, and strength. As partners, it is up to you to do the work!

what would we address to bring you to wellness

Quantum/ Circadian Biology

We must consider what is happening to our body at a cellular level. Circadian Rhythm is our relationship with sunlight and syncing up with the body's natural rhythms indicated by nature. The timing of day we eat, exercise and sleep, are important. The time of year in relation to where we live is important for our food choices.  Our skin and eyes need to be exposed to sunlight at specific times of day and our bodies need electrical grounding on the earth, just like the electricity in our homes needs to be grounded. And the story of proper hydration and water goes beyond how much we drink a day, its also about the water created by our bodies inside the cells.

Nutritional Therapy

Why is nutritional therapy different then any other nutrition or meal plan programs? Using an extensive questionnaire, food journal, and one-on-one interview, we can approach your health from examining the root causes of health ailments and create a personalized education plan that supports the necessary foundations of health that can bring your body back into balance.

Lifestyle Support

Proper nutrition may play a large role in optimizing health, but it is not the full picture. How we move our bodies, the quality of our sleep, how we respond to stress, even household and hygiene products can play a role in our overall health. Learn strategies to incorporate movement of your body, sleep hygiene to improve quality of sleep, and to manage the environmental toxic load coming into the body.
